SUPPORT
Tip any content that you enjoyed reading on ResearchHub with ResearchCoin to show your support to the author of the paper, video or comment.
ResearchCoin (RSC) is a reward token anyone can earn by sharing, curating, and discussing academic science within ResearchHub. The number of RSC earned for any given action is proportional to how users embrace open science practices and how valuable the community perceives their contribution to be.
Within ResearchHub, RSC is used to properly recognize and reward users who help create value within our community, and in doing so, bring the scientific community together.
By holding RSC, you have the opportunity to contribute to ResearchHub's governance, utilize full platform features, and help support the work of other scientists and ResearchHub users.
Use your RSC to request peer reviews, literature reviews and more with ResearchHub's grant feature.
RSC can also be used to tip any content that you enjoyed on ResearchHub, including research papers, videos, and user comments.
Receive community funds for your own research, or post RSC grants to fuel others' scientific studies.
No more institutional gatekeepers or bureaucratic gridlock! Simply contribute directly to the research topics that matter to you most.

And with our quadratic voting mechanism, even small RSC holders can still have a meaningful voice!

The total supply of ResearchCoin is 1,000,000,000 tokens, which can always be verified at our Token Tracker page on Etherscan. The Community has been allocated 60% of the total supply with a maximum emission of 5% per year distributed to the Community and the ResearchHub Foundation. The Community emissions will be distributed by the platform reward algorithm, while the ResearchHub Foundation will receive tokens based on a predetermined schedule.
The ResearchHub Foundation Treasury exists to fund the community’s chosen scientific initiatives.
Secure, Transparent Assets
All Treasury assets are safely stored on an immutable public ledger (split between the Base and Ethereum blockchains).
This means anyone is free to view and verify all Treasury funds, including where any assets are deposited from or withdrawn to.
The emission rate will be maximum 5% per year for community emissions from the reward algorithm. Please note that this is an upper limit. In the past 24 months, there has been an underemission below the target 5%. The community can vote toward proposals to adjust the emission rate in the future.
The TGE occurred on 8/1/2020, as verifiable on Etherscan.
